SGM Transportation Services LLC ("SGM", "we", "us") provides private black car rides in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and RDU Airport area of North Carolina. This policy explains what information we collect through sgmblackcar.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Trip details: pickup and drop-off locations, date and time, hours requested, and any notes you add.
- Text-message consent: whether you opted in to text messages, and when.
- Technical data: basic request data such as IP address, used to prevent spam and abuse.
Payment card details are entered on Square's payment page. We do not receive or store your full card number.
How we use your information
- To prepare quotes and confirm, schedule and provide your ride.
- To contact you about your trip by phone, email or, if you opted in, text message.
- To send you a payment link and confirm payment.
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To keep records required for our business, taxes and legal obligations.
Text messaging
If you check the optional text-message box on our quote form, we will text the phone number you provided with updates about your trip and payment links. Messages are service messages only; we do not send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies with your trip activity. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile information is never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for their own purposes.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the service, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Twilio for sending text messages.
- Resend for sending email.
- Square for processing payments.
- Google Maps for address suggestions and route distance.
- Cloudflare for hosting, bot protection (Turnstile) and data storage.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Retention and security
We keep quote and trip records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our business and legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing admin@sgmblackcar.com. We may keep information we are required to retain.
Children
Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
